How to Use Widgets in Camphouse
Widgets enable users to track progress across Targets, Planning and Results, providing a clear snapshot of performance at a glance.
What are widgets used for?
The most common use case for widgets is to track planned spend against your budget. This is particularly useful for planners working at the media plan level.
For example, you can set up a widget to compare:
Planned Spend (Planning dataset)
Planned Spend (Targets dataset)
As you add entries to your media plan, the widget updates in real time, showing how much of the budget has already been allocated.
Where are widgets displayed?
Widgets are displayed across all levels of your organization — parent and subsidiary — in the following locations:
Hub Page
Media Overview — including Sheet View, Calendar View, and Production Plan
⚠️ If all subsidiaries control their own media types, the parent organization will not be able to create widgets for them.
Create and Modify a Widget
⚠ Global Admins and Local Admins can create and edit widgets.
Widgets can be created from the Hub Page or anywhere within Media Overview.
⚠️ A widget created in any of these locations is visible across all plans, subsidiaries, and the parent account. Keep widget configurations broad and avoid setting them up in a way that only makes sense for a specific plan or subsidiary.
To create a widget, follow these steps:
Access the Widget Editor: Navigate to the Hub Page or Media Overview.
Click on the pen icon located in the top right of your screen, below the pink contextual menu.Open the Widget Editor: Click on the "+" symbol that appears on the left side of the screen to open the widget editor.
Choose Measures: Select a measure in "Measure 1" to display a single figure, choose which dataset the number should be fetched from. To compare figures, choose measures and datasets for both "Measure 1" and "Measure 2".
Configure Chart Display: Toggle 'with grain' in the top left corner to create a chart that displays the values over time.
Finalize and Create Widget: Confirm and create your widget by selecting 'Create Widget'
💡 When grain is selected, the grain displayed matches the date range selected in the main filter.
