How to Report on Targets

In Camphouse, reporting is done in the Reports section. Reports are built up by one or more charts, and targets can be included directly in those charts.

Including targets allows you to visualize target data on its own, or compare it with other data sources in the same chart.

This article explains how to include targets in charts. For instructions on how to create reports and configure charts in general, see the article Reports.

How Targets Work in Reports

Targets are added at the chart level. Once included, they follow the report’s selected date range and can be visualized on their own or together with other data.

To include targets in a chart, follow these steps:

  1. Open a Chart in Reports

    1. Go to the Reports section at the relevant level (Parent, Subsidiary, or Plan).

    2. Open an existing report or create a new one.

    3. Add a new chart or edit an existing chart to open the chart builder.

  2. Add Targets as a Data Source

    1. In the chart builder, locate the Data source section.

    2. Add “Targets”. Other data sources can be added for comparison.

    3. When Targets are added, additional target options become available.

  3. Select the Target to Include

    1. Click the target icon at the bottom of the chart builder.

    2. In the target selector, search for and select the target hierarchy you want to include.

    3. The selected target is applied to the chart.

  4. Visualize Target Data in Charts

    1. Once targets are included, you can configure the chart like any other chart in Reports. Targets are displayed based on the chart setup and can be used on their own or together with other data sources for comparison.

Note: Only the current version of a target can be included in reports. Historical target versions are not available.

Targets respect:

  • The report’s selected date range

  • The chart’s dimensions and grain

  • Any filters applied to the dataset

Important

If the target icon does not appear in the chart builder, confirm that Targets have been added under Data source.
