How small details unlock big efficiencies in daily workflows

What’s one feature in Camphouse you really love, but think too few users take advantage of?

The text template fields. It’s a small detail, but it’s such a powerful background feature. They can be used to build text strings from campaign, ad set, and ad naming conventions with tracking to UTMs and ID elements directly in Camphouse, removing all manual effort.

They can also be used in other creative ways. For example, we have cases where they are used to simply pull Start and End dates to improve date reporting. If needed, you can always hide the field in the sheet view, ensuring it doesn’t clutter the sheet view for planners. It’s an automated, time-saving, process-driving hidden gem.

What’s a common mistake you notice even experienced users make, and what’s your advice for avoiding it?

Dates, Dates, Dates! If something doesn’t look right in your data, the first place to check is the date range. Incorrect dates in reports can manifest as incorrect values, and in planning sheets you may experience missing entries. When using the powerful filter function, make sure the date range you are working with is correct, the majority of issues are often resolved this way.

What’s your top tip for helping teams drive adoption of Camphouse across their organization?

One thing I’ve noticed that is very effective for user adoption is internal client mandates. For example, setting a clear rule that no media plans will be approved outside of Camphouse after a specific date. It may sound a bit forceful, but in my experience it works very well.

Another thing that can help users get onboard is to showcase early on how the Camphouse planning sheets completely triumph Excel. We still see many users working manually in Excel, then spending time cleaning the data to import into Camphouse. That’s adding extra work. If the data is inserted into Camphouse from the start, all relationships, autofills, and calculations are already set up for you. I’ve seen so many instances where, once users experience the difference, there’s a real lightbulb moment on how their daily work can become easier, more accurate, and faster – almost certainly leaving time for an extra cup of coffee or three throughout the day.
