What’s one feature in Camphouse you really love, but think too few users take advantage of?
One feature that I feel gets forgotten about easily, is the Goal Seek function! It truly makes your life a lot easier, whether you're making last-minute bulk edits in an existing plan or simply want quick and 100% accurate data entry. Goal Seek will save you precious time.
How is it used?
First, the field that you're needing to enter/update data for must be a calculation field. This means it is greyed out and is automatically generated once fields used in its backend calculation, have been entered into the planning sheet.

Next, you right-click on the cell you want to update, select Goal Seek, and you can now enter exactly the value you need this field to be – based off auto-adjusting a secondary field.
In order for this to work, you must have already input data into other fields that are part of the calculation.
So for example, if your Net Media field is auto-calculated by (Units*Rate)/1000, and you need your Net Media to be $50,000, then you navigate to Goal Seek, enter 50,000 as your value, and select either Units or Rate to be automatically updated to get the result you want. You can even do this in bulk by selecting multiple cells.
Goal Seek is truly your golden ticket to saving who-knows-how-much manual entry time.

What’s a common mistake you notice even experienced users make, and what’s your advice for avoiding it?
I've noticed users often reach out for help when a dropdown field in their planning sheet is missing a value that they want to use. Usually there is always a super simple reason for this, and it all comes down to Media Inventory.
It's really common for Admin users to have added a new tag value, and then forget to check if a relationship existed in the Media Inventory that uses this tag. If a relationship does exist, and the new value hasn't been added, then it won't appear as an option in the dropdown for users when they're planning.
My advice is to always go through the Media Inventory carefully whenever you create a new value in settings, and be absolutely sure you add this into any relevant relationships (along with the appropriate determining values). You can then be certain without a doubt, that users will see the up to date dropdown options they need.
What’s your top tip for helping teams drive adoption of Camphouse across their organization?
In my opinion, Camphouse's most important quality is its flexibility. Reminding users that we can tailor and customize to their workflow and requirements as closely as possible is a sure way to encourage a team's adoption of our tool.
From generating naming conventions, personalizing field orders, creating new fields and tags – to restricting field access, implementing workflows and constantly updating reporting dashboards- The way we can change settings at the drop of a hat, makes us an invaluable planning tool.
From my past experience working in this industry, I know first-hand how crucial and unique this ability to customize is!
