Select Mode in Sheet View and Production Plan

Select Mode lets you pick exactly the entries you want to work with, even if they aren’t next to each other. Use it to send selected items for approval, export only what you need, or delete multiple entries at once.

Use Select Mode to Choose Specific Entries in Your Views

Select Mode gives you more control when working with media entries. Instead of applying actions to the entire view, you can select individual rows, non-adjacent entries, or filtered items and perform targeted actions.

Where you can use Select Mode

How to enable Select Mode

  1. Open Sheet View or Production Plan. Go to the view where you want to work with your entries.

  2. Click Select Mode. Use the Select Mode buttonat the top of the page.

  3. Confirm the checkboxes appear. Checkboxes are shown next to each entry, and a main checkbox appears in the header.

By default, Select Mode is turned off. You need to enable it each time you want to use it.

How to select entries

  • Select all visible entries. Click the main checkbox in the header to select everything currently visible in the view.

  • Select specific entries. Tick the checkboxes next to the entries you want to include.

  • Pick non-adjacent entries. Choose any combination of entries, even if they are not next to each other.

  • Select consecutive entries by dragging. Click and drag from the row number (not the checkbox) to select multiple rows at once.

  • Use filters before selecting. Apply your filter first, then make your selection and perform your action (send for approval, export, or delete).

What you can do with selected entries

  1. Send for approval. Only the selected entries are included in the approval flow.

  2. Export the selection. Only selected entries are exported. This works with:

    • Standard export to Excel

    • PDF export

    • Export templates (as long as the export includes the selected media type)

  3. Delete selected entries. Only the entries you selected will be deleted.

How to turn Select Mode off

  1. Click Select Mode again. Use the same button to disable Select Mode.

  2. Return to normal view. The checkboxes are removed, and you can continue working as usual.

Things to keep in mind

  • You can only select entries within one media type at a time. Changing the media type clears all selections.

  • When you switch to another view, Select Mode is automatically turned off and needs to be enabled again.

  • Select Mode cannot be saved as default enabled.

  • If you apply, change, or remove a filter after making selections, all selections are cleared.

  • Selections are not kept when changing media types or after major view updates.
