We're rolling out an improved version of our importer. While it rolls out, you can choose whether to try the new importer or keep using the one you're used to, whichever suits you for that import.

You can fix mistakes as you import, not after. With the old importer, a misspelled tag or an inconsistent value in your file had to be corrected after the import finished. The new importer lets you catch and correct these values before anything is confirmed, using Match & Replace.

It can create new fields, tags, and vehicles for you. The old importer could only map your columns to fields that already existed in Camphouse. The new importer can create new tags, vehicles, fields, and even organisations as part of the import, when this is turned on for your organisation. It handles large files more smoothly. If you regularly import big spreadsheets, the new importer processes them faster and with less waiting around.

You always know where things stand. A progress widget tracks each step of the import in colour, so you can see at a glance whether it's running, needs your attention, or is done.

The option to replace current data with imported data isn't available yet. Support for replacing data is planned for a later release. For now, if you need to replace existing data with imported data, use the old importer.

Wherever you see the import icon, clicking it now opens a small menu with two options: Importer (New) and Importer (Old). Pick whichever version you'd like to use for that particular import.
