An Improved Targets Experience in Camphouse

We’re launching an improved Targets experience in Camphouse. This update focuses on performance, clarity, and flexibility, making it easier to review, update, and understand targets across your hierarchy.

The improved experience includes refinements to the Targets timeline and overview, improved reporting capabilities, and a stronger foundation for additional features coming soon.

What’s Included in the Improved Experience

  • Improved Targets Timeline

The Targets timeline has been refined to better handle large datasets and provide a clearer view over time. You now work with one target hierarchy at a time, helping you stay focused while reviewing and updating values.

  • Improved Targets Overview

The Targets overview has been refined to improve performance and enhance the overall experience when working with target hierarchies. It provides a clearer and more structured way to create and manage your target setup.

  • Target Rollups

Targets now support rollup behavior across your hierarchy. This means that when you enter values on lower-level targets, those values are automatically summed up and reflected on their parent targets.

This makes it easier to work bottom up, by entering values where the data originates and letting Camphouse handle the aggregation.

  • Comments on Targets

You can now include text fields in your target structure, making it possible to add comments and context at each level of the hierarchy. These fields can be used to store information such as PO numbers, assumptions, or other notes related to your targets, helping teams keep important context close to the data.

  • Targets in Reports

Targets can now be included more flexibly in Reports. When building charts, you can choose which target hierarchy to include, making it easier to visualize target data on its own or alongside other data sources for comparison.

Built for What’s Coming Next

This update also lays the groundwork for more enhancements in the near future. The improved structure allows us to continue evolving the Targets experience with additional features over time.

What’s Changing for You

This update does not change your target data.

Whether you already use targets or not, all existing targets, values, and hierarchies remain the same. No data is removed or recalculated. The update affects how targets are presented and how values roll up, not the underlying data itself.

If you’re familiar with working in targets today, the core concepts remain the same, but the experience is now more focused, performant, and flexible.

When will this take place

The rollout of the improved Targets experience is planned to start at the beginning of next week and will be enabled gradually.

If you need help getting started or want more information about how this applies to your setup, feel free to reach out to your Customer Success Manager for guidance.
