Production Plan lets you break a single media entry row in your planning sheet into smaller production entries so you can track creative details more clearly. This gives planners a clean overview in Sheet View, while creative teams can get their own space for formats, specs, deadlines, and other asset-related information.
Planning media entries appear in grey, while the editable fields in your production entries are shown in white, making it easy to distinguish your main planning rows from the creative details you can add.
Before adding entries, make sure that there is at least one media entry in the planning sheet view.
Create a production entry
Go to the Production Plan tab for the media type you’re working with. You can access it from the left menu under Media Overview → Production Plan, or by clicking the Production Plan icon
at the top when you have any Media Overview section open.Choose a media entry row: Select the row you want to divide into production entries.
Add a new production entry: Click the plus icon on the row, or right-click and select “Insert production entry.”
Fill in the details: Complete the production fields you want to track for that entry.
Let it save: The entry saves automatically once the required fields are filled in.
Understanding blue and red text in the Production plan
In the Production plan, parent rows display two values separated by a backslash (for example, 1,200 \ 950). The color of the left-hand value tells you whether your sub-entries are on track.
The left-hand value is the original figure entered on the planning sheet. The right-hand value is the running total of all sub-entries within that row.
Blue means the planned value is equal to or greater than the sub-entry total. Your entries are within the original budget or allocation, so no action is needed.
Red means the sub-entry total exceeds the planned value. Any fields that depend on this value in a calculation will also turn red. To resolve this, either adjust the individual sub-entries to bring the total back within range, or update the original planned value in the sheet view.
Edit or delete a production entry
Find the entry you want to update: Open Production Plan and locate the row.
Edit the details: Click the row, make your changes, it will save automatically.
Delete the entry: Right-click the entry and choose Remove row. You can also highlight multiple production entries at the same time and remove them in one action.
If you delete a media entry that has production entries beneath it, you’ll be asked to confirm before the entry is removed.
View and filter production entries
Production Plan shows planning media entries (in grey) together with your added production entries (in white) by default, so you can clearly see how they relate. If you prefer a more focused view, you can hide the planning entries by clicking the eye icon with a line through it.
⚠️ When you export from Production Plan, only the white production entries are included. Grey planning media entries are never part of the export, even if they are visible on screen.
