Taxonomy & Integration Tracking

Use taxonomies to align campaign tracking across platforms and generate accurate Plan vs Actual reporting.

Taxonomies can be utilized for integration tracking. When utilized for integration tracking, matching will occur only as granularly as your taxonomy is. So for example, if the lowest granularity in your taxonomy is Media Type (and there are more granular Media Vehicles which are not included in your taxonomy) you will be able to generate Plan versus Actual reporting for Media Type but not Media Vehicle.

Your Taxonomy can live at any level in the integration platform, for example, in Meta, it can be at the Campaign Name, Ad Name, or Ad Set Name. On the Camphouse side in the Integration Mapping screen, you need to then set tracking at the same level.

If you already have an existing Taxonomy in use in the integration platform being utilized in live campaigns, mimicking the same format in Camphouse allows you to begin matching results data without having to re-traffic your campaign.

To set a Taxonomy field as a tracking field:

  1. Go to Settings > Media types and Fields.

  2. Locate your Taxonomy field.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Check the box Field is a tracking field.

  5. Click Save.
