Enter Target Values and Track Pacing
Once your target hierarchy is set up, you can start entering values and tracking performance. Target values can be added directly from the Targets overview or by working inside an individual target hierarchy.
💡Value indicators
Each level shows whether a value has been entered.
Blue indicates the level has a value.
Gray indicates the level is empty.
These indicators help you quickly identify which levels still require values.
To enter target values and work with pacing, follow these steps:
Open a target hierarchy
To enter or adjust target values, click a target in the Targets overview.
The hierarchy opens, starting at the top level.
Review target levels
Each level in the hierarchy shows how the target is defined and tracked. The tag the level is linked to.
The start and end date for the target period.
The numerical value being tracked (for example spend or engagements).
Current pacing toward the target value. Pacing is calculated using plan data that falls within the date range and matches the tags used in the hierarchy.
Expand the hierarchy
You can drill down to work with more granular levels.Click the blue arrow to expand a level.
Continue expanding to view all levels included in the hierarchy.
Enter target values
Target values are entered directly within the hierarchy.Enter values at the level that best matches how you plan and report.
Pacing updates automatically as values are added or changed.
💡Top down and bottom up target entry
You can enter target values in two ways:
Top down
Start with a total value at the top level and distribute it across lower levels. This is useful when you begin with an overall budget or goal.Bottom up
Enter values at lower levels, such as channels or media vehicles. Values automatically roll up and update the total at the top level.
